Storyline 1993:

In 1993, two regular season buttons were highlighted to celebrate
milestone occasions...the first, Penn State's first game in the Big 10
and the second, Penn State's 1,000th overall game!

Besides being noted as such on the buttons, the color combination
was reversed to make these buttons stand out from the others and
looked very much like the year end bowl button.
