Who could have seen this one coming?
Indeed it is the 50th Anniversary of the button program and the top
portion of the button appropriately spells that sentiment out, however,
the original school colors of black and pink was way more than 50 years ago
so I'm not sure what the changing of the button color has to do with the
50th Anniversary celebration of the button program.
Significantly, the proofreader for the slogans gets a 15 yard penalty
for failing to get the right mascot for the Indiana game.
Indiana, of course, are the Hoosiers but somehow an Indiana State Sycamores slogan
made it to the presses! A corrected button was not issued.
The year end bowl button remained in the usual white color with dueling helmets.
